We are very pleased to auction Carl King’s exceptional collection of padlocks and other related items.  Carl has collected padlocks and other rarities for over 50 years. This catalog is the first auction from his collection that has been consigned to us. Auction 36, also from his collection, will follow in Spring 2024.  Included are many categories such as smoke house, keen kutter, winchester, miniatures, plus wonderful railroad, and combinations.

In the early 1970’s Carl started “King Safe & Lock Co.” in Houston, Texas. Thus beginning his passion for collecting old and rare padlocks that lasted for over 50 years.

Deadline dates for Auction 35 are February 3 & 10, 2024.

Section 1, lots 1 to 189 will completed on February 3.

Section 2, lots 190 to 532 will completed on February 10.

AUCTION RULES:

• Call early to get your condition questions answered before the Saturday DEADLINE DAY.

• Each Saturday DEADLINE DAY: We will only take bids on the lots to be sold on that day.

• WHEN YOU CALL TO BID: Have your lots in numerical order.

• CALLS ARE LIMITED EACH DEADLINE SATURDAY: To five minutes.

• CURRENT BIDS WILL BE POSTED ON WEBSITE on the final day as often as possible.

AFTER EACH AUCTION SECTION:

SUNDAY SHUTDOWN: We will shut down on each Sunday after the two Saturday deadline days to break down the auction lots by winners. We will post the ending bids for catalog buyers on Monday.  February 12, 2023. You are welcome to call Monday through Friday after the deadline day to see if you won any lots. 

INVOICES FOR THE ENTIRE AUCTION: Invoices will be emailed to you if you have an email address. If not, we will send your invoice to you via USPS. You are welcome to call from Monday through Friday to see if you are the high bidder.

SHIPPING: After we have received payment, we will ship your winnings!
